Clement Peretjatko is a professional artist from Lyon. He was born in Échirolles (France) in 1979. He has obtained a degree from « Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts de la Marionnette » at the Institut International de la Marionnette of Charleville-Mézières, a Licence in Theater Studies at the University of Rennes2 and a Professional Masters Degree in "Strategies of International Cultural Exchanges" at Sciences Po Lyon.
In 2003, he founded is own company, Collapse, with the double desire to bring together contemporary poetry and puppetry and exploring authors of the Balkans. During a travel in Zagreb, he met Radovan Ivsic, a poet of croatian
origin. He then became an associate artist at the Hangar Theater, art and research center in Montpellier (France). His first two solos created in this theater have been awarded in France by the national prize « Printemps des Poètes ».
He then adopted a nomadic lifestyle and focused on meeting with international artists, thus building the passion and commitment connecting his various creations. His travels led him to explore art forms in Sri Lanka, Egypt, Cameroon and Kosovo, where he developed cultural exchanges.
His last show, Mashtruesit (Swindlers) at the National Theatre of Kosovo, received the prize "Tibor Sekelj" at the International Puppetry Festival of Zagreb in 2010. This prize was awarded by an international professional
jury for the humanist message of the show.
